Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and test key product control and safety software algorithms
Analyze complex medical electro-mechanical devices and servo control systems for safety and clinical risk, perform thorough failure mode analysis, and provide risk mitigation strategies
Address issues at production and also in the field, perform analysis, evaluate risk, determine root causes, propose design improvements, and provide solutions
Qualification
Required
PhD (or Masters plus equivalent work experience) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with experience in robotics and control of mechatronic systems
Strong background in the design of classical and modern servo control systems
Possess strong C/C++ and MATLAB programming skills. Knowledge of Python would be a plus
Prior experience in computer vision algorithms would be a plus. Hands-on experience (2+ years) in the design and implementation of real-time controllers for mechatronic systems would be a plus
Be guided by strong engineering intuition for mechatronic systems and at the same time be detail oriented and able to develop and push a single solution to completion
Excel in a high-energy team and demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Show passion for product quality and continuous improvements
Have the ability to work independently, and the determination to get through challenging problems
Preferred
Knowledge of Python would be a plus
Prior experience in computer vision algorithms would be a plus
Hands-on experience (2+ years) in the design and implementation of real-time controllers for mechatronic systems would be a plus
