Start in 2026 SummerEssense of Australia is a global leader in bridal fashion, and they are seeking a Merchandising Operations Intern for Summer 2026. This role involves assisting the Merchandising Operations team with various tasks related to collections, including sample logistics, inventory management, and product presentation preparation.

Responsibilities
Check in factory and store shipments
Prepare and ship samples to meet deadlines for stores, photoshoots, and influencer requests
Create shipping labels, gown tags, and barcodes
Assist with first sample checks, reviewing beading, color, and accessories
Maintain an organized and up-to-date sample inventory
Complete inventory counts and reporting to ensure all samples are accounted for
Follow up on missing gowns or accessories and place orders as needed
Assist with steaming gowns and dressing mannequins or models for internal presentations and events
Create weekly spreadsheets and PDFs to support sales representatives attending weekend trunk shows
Update image boards weekly as styles are revised
Create and assist with the review of selling season documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Events, and Sales teams
Qualification
Required
Current student or recent graduate of a college-level Fashion Program
Elevated attention to detail & deadline oriented
Working knowledge of Excel and other Office programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in learning across the varied aspects of design development that are required to bring gowns to market
Ability to take direction and partner with others in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and time manage when tasked with multiple things
Must be able to place gowns on rolling racks and frequently push and pull racks into the appropriate position
Ability to frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
