Senior LevelSynchro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain internal backend systems used daily by engineering teams to analyze data, debug issues, and operate complex production environments. This role focuses on Python backend development and data systems, involving the creation of services for logs, metrics, simulations, and analytics at scale.

Responsibilities
Design and build Python-based backend services used by internal engineering teams
Develop systems for log analysis, metrics, simulations, and analytics
Work with large-scale data stores including object storage and databases
Build reliable, maintainable internal APIs and services
Partner with QA, analytics, safety, and ML teams to support debugging and analysis workflows
Operate in Linux-based environments and contribute to service reliability and performance
Qualification
Required
Strong Python backend development experience
Experience building internal tools or platforms for engineers
Solid understanding of data pipelines, logs, and analytics systems
Hands-on experience with large-scale data storage systems
Comfort working in Linux-based production environments
Preferred
Familiarity with AWS services used for data storage and compute
Experience with databases such as Postgres, ClickHouse, Redis, or similar systems
Exposure to Kubernetes or containerized environments without owning infrastructure
Experience supporting data-heavy or analytics-driven systems
