The consultant will support enterprise-level platforms and collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure system stability and compliance.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with IT professionals ranging from peer to Director level

Demonstrate strong initiative, ownership, and self-starter mentality

Proactively identify, communicate, and implement process improvements

Manage multiple tasks concurrently and provide regular status updates to stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery

Maintain professionalism, strong customer service, and timely communication

Accurately document and manage incidents and requests within the Helpdesk system

Troubleshoot and resolve backup configuration and recovery issues

Design, implement, and support enterprise backup, storage, and virtualization environments

Administer Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) hardware and software

Manage Microsoft Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines

Administer and support Veeam backup solutions, including restore operations

Monitor backup infrastructure performance, security, and reliability

Support disaster recovery and failover scenarios

Perform hardware and software upgrades and system enhancements

Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory information security standards

Stay current with emerging infrastructure and networking technologies

Required

3+ years of experience with networking protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, MLLP, NDMP, and NTP

3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (S2D)

3+ years of experience with Veeam backup software

3+ years of experience managing Microsoft Hyper-V hosts and virtual machines

3+ years of experience working with PCI and NIST regulations, implementations, or audits

3+ years of experience with Change Management processes

3+ years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery environments

3+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting VMware environments

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of IT systems experience OR Associate degree with 4+ years of IT systems experience OR High School diploma with 6+ years of IT systems experience
