Responsibilities
Sorts and delivers incoming mail by department and/or employee to ensure timely distribution
Inspects VAP packages for damages
Take photos of VAP packages when customer opens the packages
Sorts and delivers interdepartmental mail including notices and memoranda
Picks up departmental mail
Operates mail machines including the postage meter, photocopying machine, and mail folding and inserting machine
Processes and weighs outgoing mail
Maintains records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information
Replenishes postage on the postage meter as needed
Stocks supplies needed for the mailroom & pick up areas
Performs other related duties as assigned
Receive and deliver office supplies
Qualification
Required
Good communication skills
Basic understanding of operating instructions and processes for machines
Basic understanding of or the ability to learn locations and organizational structure
Basic understanding of postage rates and regulations
Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of mail and or packages
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Ability to craft a well written email
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds at times
Must be able to traverse office facilities to pick up mail
Able to move at a fast pace
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in a related area preferred
