Responsibilities

Serve as Head of Global Security, with end-to-end accountability for physical security, health & safety, investigations, emergency response, executive protection, travel and event security, and business continuity
Build, lead, and continuously evolve a global security function, including organizational design, talent strategy, and governance
Establish a long-term vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap working with the BU security leads, supporting a geographically distributed employee base, high risk newsgathering and business operations
Communicate the value of security and workplace safety across all levels of the organization, reinforcing a strong culture of preparedness and resilience
Direct accountability for the close protection, safety and security of News Corp’s CEO and NEOs
Accountability for the safety and security of the New Corp Board members when they are attending board meetings
Accountable for event security for CEO and Board members when they attend internal and external events associated with Board meetings
Lead enterprise-wide physical security, health, and safety risk management in alignment with corporate risk frameworks
Evolve and automate, where appropriate, global security standards, processes, and operations
Ensure compliance with global and local regulations, internal audit requirements, and industry best practices, including NIST, ISO, ASIS International, and related standards
Conduct audits, assessments, and reviews of security and safety programs, with regular reporting to executive leadership and governance forums
Responsible for leading the 24/7 global security operations, including GSOC strategy, policies, and operating procedures
Act as the executive point of accountability for incident response, crisis management, and disaster recovery across our global operations
Partner with Legal, HR, IT, Cybersecurity, Communications, and People teams to manage and resolve corporate security incidents
Lead investigations and serve as the senior liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies where required
Ensure robust incident command structures, training, and documentation for a wide range of global emergency scenarios
Lead global health, life safety, and workplace security programs to protect employees across diverse operating environments
Partner closely with HR on employee-related security and safety matters, including individual and location-specific incidents
Serve as the physical security and safety authority for global emergency response and business continuity planning
Champion continuous improvement in safety awareness, training, and risk mitigation
Collaborate with Facilities and Real Estate teams on global office expansions, renovations, and build-outs, advising on security requirements and driving implementation of recommendations
Build and oversee travel and event security policies and programs, including high-risk travel and executive itineraries
Prepare and lead security planning for high-level corporate events and public-facing activities
Own and manage security, health, and safety budget, ensuring effective prioritization and return on investment
Build, develop, and lead high-performing, globally distributed teams across regions and disciplines
Partner effectively across business verticals to ensure security solutions enable business growth while mitigating risk

Required

Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in global physical security, corporate security, or related fields within large, complex organizations, preferably at the senior executive level
Demonstrated experience building and scaling global security programs and defining long-term strategic roadmaps
Equally adept at strategy formulation and hands-on execution in fast-paced environments
Proven leadership experience managing geographically distributed teams
Experience leading incidents, crisis response, and business continuity operations at scale
Active participation in professional organizations such as ASIS, OSAC, DSAC, and/or ISMA
Exceptional integrity, empathy, and judgment, with a demonstrated ability to earn trust across a broad set of stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior executives and influence decision-making
Strong cross-functional partnership skills with Facilities, Real Estate, IT, Cybersecurity, HR, Legal, and business leaders

Preferred background in Military, law enforcement, investigations, or equivalent, with proven ability to partner with external agencies
