JFS Altius Farms is a nonprofit human services organization that serves anyone in need. They are seeking a KidSuccess Therapist Intern to provide individual, group, and family counseling to students and their families in a school-based mental health therapy program.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling to students and their families

Provide school-staff groups/trainings depending on the school's needs

Utilize an electronic medical record for billing (Medicaid compliance)

Complete mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and measure outcome tools

Create treatment plans/objectives/goals

Complete progress notes within the allocated time

Consult and collaborate with teachers, social workers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, and school administrators within the school setting

Facilitate referrals to community agencies when appropriate

Provide consultation for specific problems

Make referrals to therapists outside of school for evaluation or treatment when indicated
