Samsung Austin Semiconductor is a leader in advanced semiconductor technology, seeking a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Technician. The role involves operating dual beam focused ion beam tools to prepare high quality samples for TEM analysis, performing tool maintenance, and collaborating with the imaging team to enhance sample quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Follow SOP and job instructions carefully with a keen attention to details

Operate Dual Beam FIB tools to prepare high quality samples free of damage or artifacts for TEM analysis

Perform level appropriate tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting

Strive for output and efficiency improvement to help the team achieve TAT and capa goals

Determine and assist in development of methods and procedures to optimize techniques and capabilities related to in-lab operations

Required

2+ years of college or technical school (preferred, but not required)

1+ of experience in Semiconductor field (preferred, but not required)

SEM and FIB operation for the preparation of high quality TEM samples free of damages or artifacts

Must have the ability to manipulate small features, tools or samples consistently

Must demonstrate motivation and capability to quickly comprehend sophisticated equipment and processes

Operator level tool maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting

Chemical and dry etch sample delayering

Physical failure analysis sample manipulation

Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and have keen ability to navigate various Samsung software applications
