Promotional & Brand Execution Specialist

The Promotional & Brand Execution Specialist is responsible for executing promotional campaigns and brand initiatives across retail locations, ensuring compliance and effectiveness while driving revenue and supporting category performance.

Responsibilities

Execute in-store and digital promotional campaigns in alignment with the approved promotional calendar, category strategy, and brand standards
Support new product launches by ensuring accurate shelf placement, promotional signage, messaging, and execution at the store level
Own the execution of vendor-funded promotions, ensuring contractual compliance, correct placement, and accurate promotional messaging
Translate merchandising and marketing plans into clear, actionable execution requirements for retail teams
Partner closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to coordinate seasonal promotions, campaigns, and rollouts across banners
Ensure consistent brand presentation across all locations, including signage, displays, fixtures, and promotional materials
Maintain and execute SparkPlug and other retail activation initiatives, validating consistency and effectiveness in the field
Support store resets, merchandising updates, and brand initiatives to reinforce a cohesive, customer-centric retail experience
Monitor execution quality to ensure stores meet cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards aligned to brand expectations
Develop, maintain, and report on promotional and brand execution scorecards to track compliance, quality, and effectiveness
Conduct regular field visits to assess execution accuracy, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions or optimizations
Capture structured feedback from Store Directors, Regional Managers, and vendors to inform future promotional planning
Analyze execution performance to identify opportunities to improve ROI, operational efficiency, and customer engagement
Manage execution checklists, timelines, and rolling promotional calendars to ensure campaigns launch and exit on schedule
Partner with merchandising and vendors to develop and maintain brand catalogs, promotional toolkits, and execution guides
Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline campaign execution, reporting, and store-level communication
Balance brand consistency across banners while enabling localized execution aligned to market dynamics

Required

Strong understanding of retail promotions, in-store execution, and brand standards within a multi-location environment
Experience supporting promotional calendars, product launches, and vendor-funded campaigns
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously
Experience developing execution playbooks, checklists, and compliance standards
Ability to work cross-functionally and drive follow-through without direct authority
Ability to evaluate execution effectiveness and translate observations into actionable insights
Comfort working with scorecards, KPIs, and execution metrics
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI tools is a plus
Clear, concise communicator able to translate strategy into operational direction for retail teams
Strong relationship-building skills with merchandising, marketing, operations, and vendor partners
Comfortable delivering feedback and recommendations in a constructive, solution-oriented manner
High attention to detail and consistency across execution
Strong sense of accountability for brand integrity and promotional accuracy
Ability to identify risks, inconsistencies, or breakdowns before they impact customer experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Retail Management, Business, or a related field preferred
2–5+ years of experience in retail promotions, merchandising execution, marketing operations, or brand execution
Experience supporting multi-banner or multi-location retail environments strongly preferred
Field execution, store audit, or compliance review experience a plus
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado

Preferred

Familiarity with cannabis retail execution, regulated environments, or CPG merchandising preferred
