Communications Manager, Infrastructure and Energy

Responsibilities
Drive communications for Google’s data center energy, water, and resource efficiency programs by driving strategy and managing complex PR coordination with industry partners and teams across Google
Develop, write, and edit compelling communications materials, including statements, story pitches, and announcements
Be a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to key business partners
Cultivate media and partner relationships to drive awareness, excitement, and factual reporting about Google’s global infrastructure
Manage crisis communications scenarios. Think creatively, take smart risks, and address tough issues as they arise
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
7 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications
Preferred
Experience working on large events and projects that need cross-functional collaboration
Ability to think strategically and develop creative comms strategies that drive results
Ability to quickly learn about various areas of public policy, energy, and sustainability, including effective team player who can meet project deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Track record of well-developed and maintained media relationships across business and technology press
