Responsibilities
Perform shipping and receiving functions, assist with maintaining inventory of products and materials, and inspection of incoming and outgoing products
Daily handling of shipping and receiving
Responsible for customer pickups, all orders should be kept in the shipping and receiving area until the customer arrives
Take shipments to the designated shipping store when necessary
Notify Logistics and Purchasing Supervisor of order issues that arrive that are not typed up correctly
Assist with maintaining and logging inventory into database
Assist with physical inventory quarterly to verify inventory counts are accurate
Maintaining inventory locations and shipping area in a neat and orderly fashion
Learning and knowing the whereabouts of all inventory items
Clear the sidewalks of snow in the winter, along with laying down provided salt
Qualification
Required
1+ previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations
Preferred
Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures
Experience using RF scanners for inventory management
