Strategic Project Manager

The Strategic Project Manager plays a key role in advancing the company’s growth strategy by coordinating and executing complex initiatives across mergers and acquisitions, real estate development, and enterprise-level strategic projects.

Responsibilities

Coordinate post-merger integration activities across people, processes, systems, and culture while helping maintain operational continuity
Develop and maintain integration roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and success metrics
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Retail, Cultivation, Manufacturing, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Real Estate to align integration activities
Track integration costs, synergy realization, KPIs, and milestones; prepare dashboards, status updates, and executive-facing materials
Identify integration risks related to regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and timelines; escalate issues with recommended mitigation actions
Contribute to pre-close planning activities, including integration readiness assessments, transition planning, and documentation
Maintain and improve integration tools, templates, and playbooks to support scalable execution
Manage coordination and tracking for real estate initiatives, including dispensary acquisitions, new store openings, relocations, expansions, renovations, and facility upgrades, as well as cultivation or manufacturing development projects
Partner with real estate, facilities & maintenance, licensing, compliance, and operations teams to align timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate site development activities such as due diligence, zoning and permitting, licensing readiness, construction tracking, and operational launch planning
Monitor capital expenditures, project schedules, vendor deliverables, and key risks across real estate initiatives
Ensure real estate activities align with broader corporate strategy and market expansion priorities
Maintain working knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations, licensing requirements, zoning considerations, and compliance impacts on development projects
Translate corporate growth and market expansion strategies into structured project plans with defined milestones and accountability
Maintain project plans, trackers, dashboards, and reporting to provide visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies
Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready materials, including status reports, presentations, and analytical summaries
Partner with stakeholders to support change management, communication, and adoption across strategic initiatives
Support executive decision-making through data gathering, analysis, and synthesis of insights into actionable recommendations
Contribute to the development and refinement of project management standards, governance processes, and reporting frameworks across Strategy initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Project Management, Operations, or a related field required
6–8+ years of progressive experience in project management, strategy, operations, corporate development, or a related role
Demonstrated experience coordinating post-merger integration activities, including cross-functional alignment across people, processes, systems, and culture
Hands-on experience supporting M&A initiatives, including pre-close planning, integration readiness assessments, and post-close execution tracking
Experience coordinating real estate and development initiatives such as acquisitions, new site openings, relocations, expansions, renovations, or facility buildouts
Strong working knowledge of regulatory, licensing, zoning, and compliance considerations impacting acquisitions and real estate development, preferably within state-regulated cannabis markets
Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Strong analytical skills, including experience tracking integration costs, capital expenditures, synergies, KPIs, and ROI
Experience developing and maintaining project plans, dashboards, executive-level reporting, and performance metrics
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across projects and initiatives
Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado
