$15/hr - $15/hrThe University of Utah is seeking a part-time IT Support Technician to provide technical support for point-of-sale systems, computers, and label printers across Campus Store locations. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues to support daily operations in a retail environment.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Windows-based cash register systems
Provide technical support for label printers and peripheral devices
Support POS system setup, operation, and takedown for sporting events and off-site sales events
Collaborate with Campus Store staff and IT partners to resolve issues and improve system performance
Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Learn and support the NetSuite POS and ERP system
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment inventory
Follow campus policies, security standards, and data privacy requirements
During event downtime, assist with other operational duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a current University of Utah student
Preferred
Prior experience in IT support, computer repair, or a related role
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, or Linux
Basic understanding of networking concepts
Customer service experience
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate clearly with staff and end users
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
