Responsibilities
Conducts engineering studies on design for products, associated and subsystems components, and structures
Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to product development
Uses computer-assisted engineering software and equipment
Analyzes product specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing facilities and methods
Analyzes test data and reports to determine if product meets functional and performance specifications
Works with research and other engineering personnel to prepare product modifications as required
Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technological changes and developments in industry
Assists in the development of preparations of product layout and detailed drawings and schematics
Runs up to five projects concurrently with significant oversight from management or more senior engineering staff
Qualification
Required
Engineering product development knowledge
Time management and prioritization abilities
Data gathering and analysis skills
Programming logic and Microsoft Office
High school diploma or equivalent
4+ years of relevant product development technical experience
Preferred
Technical training or related certificate(s)
