Responsibilities
Manage and support IMS DB environments on z/OS
Perform database design, reorganization, recovery, and performance tuning
Work with IMS utilities (Image Copy, HD Reorg, Recovery, Load/Unload, etc.)
Handle production support and issue resolution
Manage backup, recovery, and DR activities
Coordinate with application, system, and infrastructure teams
Lead and mentor junior DBAs
Qualification
Required
5–6+ years of hands-on IMS DB DBA experience
Strong knowledge of IMS DB, DBRC, and mainframe (z/OS)
Experience in production environments
Good leadership and communication skills
Preferred
DB2 experience
IMS upgrade or migration exposure
Automation/monitoring tools experience
