The Mechanical Engineering Co-op will support the engineering group by working with mechanical engineers to develop solutions to manufacturing issues and design new products, while gaining experience in various engineering roles and processes.

Responsibilities
Supporting team members in setting up, instrumenting, documenting and maintaining functional product tests
Assisting team members in the creation and maintenance of engineering drawings
Working with quality systems with direction from the quality manager
Modify existing designs with direction from senior engineers
Design and implementation of small projects intended to improve the existing line of products
Executing and implementing Engineering Change Notices
Process job packets necessary for production orders. These include drawing layouts, bill of materials, test sheets, product manuals and preventative maintenance lists
Participation on New Product Development projects. This includes concept ideation, design, prototyping and testing along with production implementation
Design and implementation of more complex sustaining projects intended to improve the existing line of products
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1-year engineering focused higher education completed at start of co-op
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and in teams
Mechanical aptitude
Preferred
Experience with basic laboratory electronic equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, multimeters, etc.)
CAD experience
