Responsibilities
Lead the enterprise architecture strategy, governance, and delivery of next-generation digital capabilities
Own the technology roadmap for Open Banking enablement (provider and consumer models), real-time data-sharing frameworks, and secure API ecosystems
Guide solution teams across mobile, web, integration, security, and cloud, ensuring security-first design, data privacy, and regulatory compliance while balancing platform stability and modernization
Qualification
Required
12–20+ years in technology architecture, especially in banking, Open Banking, or financial services
Strong expertise in Open Banking standards (e.g., FDX, data-sharing frameworks, consent architecture)
Building APIs using Java/Spring Boot, API gateways, and API management platforms
Proficient in designing solutions on Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or similar cloud platforms
Experience with Apigee or other integration modernization platforms
Knowledge of identity, fraud, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk controls
Expertise in Kafka streaming, event-driven architecture, and real-time data processing
Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Boot 3.x (reactive patterns), and API design
Experience with FDX (hands-on) and Digital Banking APIs. Familiarity with BIAN, ISO 20022, PSD2 is a plus
Proficient in NGINX ingress controller, Azure API Management; knowledge of Apigee, MuleSoft, and Kong is a plus
Proficiency with OAuth2.0, OIDC, mTLS, and tools like Okta, Ping, Azure AD, or ForgeRock. Familiarity with tokenization and format-preserving encryption (FPE) is advantageous
Must have experience with mandatory data masking, logging compliance, secure coding practices
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure AKS. Familiarity with AWS EKS and GCP GKE is a plus
Strong experience with Kafka (producer/consumer, schema registry); familiarity with MQ, Pulsar is advantageous
Experience with AI tools for development, testing, and code review. Familiarity with Prompt engineering and AI-assisted documentation is a plus
Experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and functional automation testing. Familiarity with Cucumber, Karate, and Postman automation is a plus
Knowledge of Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and familiarity with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
Proficiency with SonarQube, Veracode, static analysis, and secure coding practices. Familiarity with Checkmarx or Fortify is advantageous
Strong communication and mentoring skills
Proven technical leadership capabilities
Client-facing presentation skills are a plus
Preferred
Experience with platforms like Ninth Wave (hands-on exposure), Plaid, Tink, MX, or Finicity
Experience with consent & data sharing flows, familiarity with GDPR/CCPA preference management
Additional experience in Insurance or FinTech startups would be beneficial
