Research Systems Technical Support Officer

The University of Bristol is a leading institution in health and life sciences, and they are seeking a Research Systems Technical Support Officer to contribute to the UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration. Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of a novel Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) including deployment, customisation and maintenance
Contribute to the development of data pipelines (primarily with Python and SQL) that automate manipulation and processing of datasets for use in research projects
Support existing software systems that the UK LLC host and maintain for researchers across the UK
Undertake user support activities to meet the needs of the UK LLC’s partner studies and expert researchers

Required

Experience with managing Virtual Learning Environments, including layout customization, user access management, content development, and maintenance
Experience in working with a variety of complex data types
Application of a variety of data science packages and coding approaches

Interest in working with a variety of organisations outside of the University of Bristol
Strong drive for customer liaison and service delivery
Enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with an enthusiastic and diverse team
