Senior Accountant
Strategic Employment Partners (SEP) is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role involves ownership over core accounting functions and significant involvement in audit preparation and execution, ideal for an accountant with nonprofit experience.
Responsibilities
Prior nonprofit accounting experience
Hands-on audit involvement at the senior or staff accountant level (not just exposure)
Experience beyond AP/AR with a strong focus on general ledger accounting
Direct experience working with external auditors
Background in a multi-fund and/or grant-based environment
Qualification
Required
Prior nonprofit accounting experience

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field
Experience beyond AP/AR with a strong focus on general ledger accounting
Direct experience working with external auditors
Background in a multi-fund and/or grant-based environment
