Responsibilities

Lead new product development by partnering with Sales, Market Development, R&D, Manufacturing, and customer experts, from early idea generation through full ownership of the product development cycle

Work with cross-functional teams to manage product costs, support material or production changes, improve quality, and ensure smooth new product launches

Product launch preparation in conjunction with relevant departments to drive market development

Build relationships with customers to share product expertise/training, understand competition and have a concise understanding of customers' needs and manufacturing processes

Analyze and benchmark competitor products and make recommendations on product portfolio changes and pricing positioning

Align with marketing functions to help promote product assortment marketing content, white papers etc

Ensure flow of information between BU objectives and regional marketing to effectively drive growth

Responsible for new item creation process including cost of materials estimation, packaging, sales materials, promotions and participation in marketing and sales events as needed

Responsible for planning and monitoring PNS/M1 product development in line with the Annual Business Plan, identifying issues as they arise, and working with Sales and Manufacturing to resolve them

Supporting the OEM specification process by coordinating resources to ensure alignment of product capabilities with OEM requirements

Required

Four-year college degree in engineering, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)

5+ years of industrial product management experience

Agile and/or cross-functional project management experience

Demonstrated pro-active mindset with natural curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit

Strong organizational and communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead without authority

Successful product development experience launching new products from ideation through commercialization

Ability to travel (up to 40%) including frequent travel between Novi, Sparta and Grand Rapids facilities as well as internationally

Preferred

Ability to speak Spanish
