Warehouse Team Lead - Frisco

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily warehouse activities, work requires giving direction, help and assistance to other warehouse personnel. Completes administrative tasks by generating work orders, planning, and scheduling tasks, generating weekly reports and metrics, scheduling and documenting time and labor costs, monitoring and reporting on team progress
Prepare and submit requisitions by providing purchase information to vendors, verify account codes and categories, using PeopleSoft financial management system, maintaining files, storing records, and ensuring accurate costs
Process new vendors into CMMS and communicate with Finance Department to set up the vendor in PeopleSoft. Establish annual purchase orders in CMMS using vendor contracts
Process requests for items not in inventory by obtaining a clear specification of the items, obtaining competitive quotes in accordance with purchasing policy and department guidelines and analyzing quotes to determine the best value. May also include preparing cost proposal forms and specifications for informal procurements
Place orders with vendors for both stock and non-stock items, ensure vendor and transport company have information regarding correct delivery location and acceptable delivery times, track shipments, notify customers of delivery timeline including delays
Receive delivery of items into the warehouse and yard, verify delivery matches order, input receipt of items into inventory using CMMS, add items to stock location or notify customer of requested item and place in will call location
Manage inventory levels by overseeing daily cycle counts, reviewing inventory levels in CMMS, conducting regular visual inventory assessments, and placing orders for stock items as needed to reduce stock outs and meet the needs of the maintenance department
Provide effective and responsive customer service by attending to the needs of the customers by pulling and properly issuing items requested through the CMMS and ensuring the warehouse counter is always staffed
Works with customers to identify, locate and dispose of obsolete materials, ensuring they are correctly removed from all records and disposed of in accordance with all procedures and regulatory requirements
Provide forklift operator training and other training as requested
Participate in Snow and Ice Events by ordering and restocking items needed to successfully respond to an event; participate in 24-hour staffing operations of the warehouse during an event

Required

Minimum: 6-months/1-year of advanced training or education beyond a high school diploma
3 – 5 years' experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain forklift certification within 6 months of hire
Fluency in English
Ability to obtain ASCM Warehouse certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred

Experience in supply chain management, warehousing, maintenance, and/or public procurement
Forklift certification
ASCM Warehouse certification
