Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a hard-working and driven Admissions Coordinator to join their team. This role involves guiding patients and families through the admissions process while ensuring accuracy and urgency in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Respond to inbound calls, chat inquiries, and emails from individuals seeking treatment

Provide clear, supportive guidance regarding Banyan’s programs and the admissions process

Maintain compassionate and professional communication when assisting individuals and families in urgent or emotional situations

Conduct initial clinical pre-screening to help determine appropriate levels of care

Gather accurate patient information and ensure all required details are documented

Collaborate with admissions and clinical teams to support appropriate placement and a smooth intake experience

Verify insurance benefits and review private pay options when needed

Complete accurate data entry across multiple systems and platforms

Maintain organized records and ensure required documentation is collected to support timely admissions

Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and patient transitions into care

Support a patient-first experience through attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication

Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards in all interactions and documentation

Required

High school diploma/GED or higher

Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, admissions, or behavioral health

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy

Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when supporting individuals and families during high-stress situations

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA and regulatory guidelines

Preferred

Familiarity with substance use treatment and/or recovery-based programming (including 12-step principles) is a plus

Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Kipu EMR preferred

Experience completing verification of benefits (VOB) to support timely and accurate treatment admissions is strongly preferred
