NextPlay Jobs is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who plays a critical role in supporting operational continuity by managing vendor payables. The position ensures financial accuracy, timely disbursements, and adherence to company policies while coordinating closely with internal teams across operations and supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

Review, validate, and enter a high volume of vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests

Verify invoice accuracy through document matching and system validation prior to approval

Investigate and resolve variances related to pricing, quantities received, freight charges, or service discrepancies

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to confirm receipt of goods and services

Manage vendor account reconciliations and address outstanding balances

Execute scheduled payment cycles using approved payment methods

Maintain organized and auditable records in accordance with company standards

Serve as a point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment timing

Provide transactional support during accounting close periods

Assist with onboarding new vendors, including documentation and credit setup

Support the accounting team with administrative and process-driven tasks as assigned

Uphold internal controls and confidentiality standards related to financial data

Contribute to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes
