Responsibilities

Administers basic & advanced respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services
Responsible for the shift assignment of work and resources including allocation of staff, equipment, assignments, and scheduling
Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols and pathways for optimal care delivery
Actively participates in Quality Improvement, direct observations, and medical record reviews
Respiratory Therapists are responsible for point of care testing as designated by the Medical Director including specimen collection, testing patient samples at the bedside or near-patient and for performing quality control, proficiency testing and maintenance of the point of care devices
