Research Technician
Brandeis University is delighted to announce a position opportunity to join the Garrity Lab as a Research Technician. You will primarily carry out molecular and genetic studies in fruit flies and mosquitoes while overseeing laboratory stocks and supplies.

Responsibilities
Performs molecular and genetic studies in mosquitoes including insect husbandry, behavioral assays, PCR and molecular cloning. (50%)
Administers maintenance of laboratory supplies. (20%)
Oversees the undergraduate workers in the lab and organizes lab-wide tasks. (10%)
Help oversee the maintenance of insect stocks. (20%)
Qualification
Required
AS/equivalent required
1-3 years of research laboratory experience in molecular biology or genetics
Requires strong self-management, organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
Preferred
BA or BS in Biology or related field is strongly preferred
