Software Engineering Manager, Rust and Go
Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and manage a team of engineers while providing technical leadership on major projects. This role involves optimizing code, contributing to product strategy, and overseeing the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

Responsibilities
Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams
Produce and provide updates to client libraries in Go and Rust for the 150+ GCP APIs
Evolve the client libraries to meet expectations for the Go and Rust language ecosystems
Evolve the product, especially how the SDKs would be used with AI tools, resulting in increased user productivity and a better developer experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
5 years of experience building SDKs
3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role
Experience with the languages used in the SDK: Java, Go, Python, Node.js, Rust, C++, C#, Ruby, PHP
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization
Experience with Cloud APIs
Experience with Cloud Identity and AuthN/AuthZ
