ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES OFFICER 1
The State of Arizona is seeking an Administrative Services Officer 1 to join their innovative and collaborative team in the Department of Transportation. This role involves performing a broad range of complex administrative functions and supporting management in various organizational matters, including human resources and fiscal operations.

Responsibilities
Supports management as an Administrative Operations Liaison maintaining strict confidentiality of all personnel issues and will manage recruitment including, preparing interview documents, reference checks, hiring, training records, position classifications, salary changes, on/off boarding, preparation of data entry for HRIS, assist with performance reviews, and maintaining org charts
Utilize various electronic resources to provide and maintain complete records of personnel functions and actions; compose correspondence and generate a variety of reports i.e. Position Control Registers, ADOT Data Warehouse download, perform position maintenance, manage the EQS
Assist management ensuring Federal, State, ADOT and EQS policies and procedures are being followed. Keep all general office files and information organized. Develop processes, procedures, guidelines and methods for local implementation in support of organizational needs
Qualification
Required
Three years of professional administrative experience to include human resource management and payroll
Advanced knowledge and skill in Google Workspace applications
Knowledge of the principles and practices of professional office administration
Knowledge of general Payroll Procedures
Knowledge of detailed office practices and procedures
Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources administration and terminology
Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HR & Payroll)
Knowledge of ADOA personnel rules
Knowledge of State and Federal rules and regulations as they pertain to employment law
Skill in excellent written and verbal communications
Skill in general math computation to process stipend pay changes
Skill in analysis and research of complex issues
Skill in dealing effectively with customers (internal & external)
Skill in employing diplomacy and confidentiality
Skill in problem solving and organizational skills
Skill in utilizing tracking/monitoring systems
Skill in advanced skill in MS Office and Google Workspace programs
Skill in attention to detail
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality & diplomacy
Ability to employ a high level of organizational ability
Ability to employ advanced writing proficiency to create procedures and guidelines
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to manage time effectively
Ability to multitask and coordinate many issues and projects on a routine basis
Possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license
Complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks
Maintain acceptable driving records
Complete all required driver training
Maintain the statutorily required liability insurance if operating a personally owned vehicle on state business
Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
