RF Engineer (Mid-Level)

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support our customer in advancing its research and development mission. This role involves hands-on technical exploration across concept development, technology assessment, experimentation, analysis, documentation, integration, and transition of emerging capabilities.

Responsibilities

Design and execute experiments evaluating the effects of RF signals on various materials. This may involve developing mathematical models, simulation inputs, or collaborating with others to replicate or adjust signal characteristics
Develop, refine, and employ prototype tools for signal generation, measurement, observation, and optimization
Analyze and summarize key findings and present results to government customers and technical teams
Review and assess external research, theories, and concepts; prepare summaries and recommendations for the government technical team
Identify, design, adapt, demonstrate, and evaluate specialized tools for generating, transmitting, and measuring signals and associated effects
Document procedures, protocols, and best practices; develop troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures to ensure repeatability and consistency in testing and experimentation

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 4+ years of related experience or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 2+ years of related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
Demonstrated experience with microwave and/or pulsed power systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to travel up to 10% within the continental U.S

Preferred

Advanced degree
Prior experience supporting the ARL program office or another government research organization
Extensive experience in electrical and RF engineering, including design, refinement, or adaptation of applications for military use
