Responsibilities
Design, implement, and validate backend systems for satellite modeling, mission planning, and operational algorithms
Develop APIs and integrate backend services with cloud infrastructure for scalability, resilience, and security
Collaborate cross-functionally with aerospace engineers, frontend developers, and product managers to deliver mission-critical capabilities
Optimize software performance and ensure maintainability, quality, and reliability in production environments
Build and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes or serverless architectures
Contribute to an agile, iterative engineering environment, taking technical ownership of key features and improvements
Qualification
Required
3+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent hands-on expertise)
Proficiency in Python and experience with Java
Strong background in developing software for complex mathematical or physics-based models
Hands-on experience with algorithms for optimization, mission planning, orbit determination, or sensor fusion
Experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, RDS) and CI/CD pipelines
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Secret Level Security Clearance Mandatory
Preferred
Experience with C++ or Rust
Knowledge of distributed systems, API design, databases (NoSQL and relational), and event-driven architectures
