The AES Group is launching a startup-focused innovation business unit and is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect with deep Generative AI experience. The role involves designing, prototyping, and operationalizing GenAI solutions for innovative startups, utilizing AWS Bedrock and modern AI-enabled cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Architect and deliver Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock
Design and implement GenAI POCs, pilots, and MVPs for startup clients
Work with foundation models (Claude, Titan, Llama, etc.) via Bedrock
Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
Design scalable GenAI platforms with:
Vector databases
Embeddings pipelines
Secure data ingestion layers
Integrate GenAI solutions into cloud-native and containerized architectures
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams
Evaluate new AWS AI services and recommend best-fit solutions
Translate ambiguous product ideas into working GenAI systems

Required

Strong hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock
Deep understanding of GenAI architectures and design patterns
Experience with prompt engineering
Experience with model orchestration
Experience with guardrails, security, and governance for GenAI
Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker
Containerization and orchestration experience with Kubernetes (EKS)
Containerization and orchestration experience with ECS / Fargate
Experience with cloud-native AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, etc.)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
7+ years of experience in cloud architecture or advanced cloud engineering
Demonstrated experience delivering GenAI POCs or production solutions
Strong AWS foundation with Solutions Architect–level expertise
Experience working in fast-paced, startup or innovation environments
Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

AWS Certifications strongly preferred
