Responsibilities
Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis
Own and manage highly visible benefit-related accounts, including medical expenses, 401(k), short-term disability, and other employee benefit programs
Analyze activity within benefit accounts and clearly explain trends, variances, and drivers to executive leadership
Partner with internal teams on special projects tied to growth and operational improvements
Play an active role in the implementation and optimization of a new, enterprise-level ERP system
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting as the business continues to evolve
Serve as a trusted accounting resource to leadership, providing insight, accuracy, and clarity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close, and account reconciliations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain financial activity to non-accounting stakeholders
Comfort working with sensitive, high-importance accounts where accuracy and discretion matter
Interest in process improvement, systems, and continuous learning
Preferred
ERP experience or exposure
Public accounting or distribution industry experience
