Accounting Assistant

LHH is partnering with a well-established commercial real estate organization, looking to add an Accounting Assistant to their growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to grow their skill set and gain hands-on exposure across core accounting functions while being mentored by the Corporate Controller.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice entry, payment processing, and recording customer receipts
Perform credit card and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and GAAP
Assist with journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
Maintain well-organized documentation to support audits and internal reviews
Generate routine financial reports and schedules for management
Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Support process improvements and special accounting projects as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information at all times

Required
