Vice President of Finance, CBS News & Stations

Paramount is on a mission to unleash the power of content, and they are seeking a dynamic and seasoned financial executive to oversee the financial operations of the News division. The VP of Finance will provide detailed analysis, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, and lead the financial organization while supporting team development.

Responsibilities

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes and ensure accuracy and predictability
Lead the development of detailed trend analyses, long-range business plans, revenue and expense budgets/forecasts
Ability to collaboratively create high-level presentations for executive management
Work with executives to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities to grow revenue and achieve short- and long-term goals
Provide detailed variance explanations on monthly actual reporting as well as forecasts. As information becomes available, which affects short and long-term forecasts, revise the forecasts and analyses to ensure accuracy and transparency
Synthesize complex information into a format that is detailed, clear, and concise
Responsible for supervision, timely execution, and robust awareness of all financial operations, including ultimate accounting, free cash flow reporting, variance analyses, and the application of revenue recognition methodologies for appropriate accounting treatments
Work closely with members of the financial organization in team development by supporting the principles of effective teams. Develop and train new team members throughout the finance organization as appropriate
Identify trends/issues and problem solve to improve the quality of financial results
Develop and leverage financial and business reporting systems to optimize the monthly close and financial reporting process

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
Minimum 15+ years in Finance; Media/Entertainment focus preferred
Strong understanding of Linear Broadcast, Traffic Operations, and Digital Space
Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives
Strong management skills and proven track record of successfully managing teams
Strong management, organization skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
Results-oriented with the ability to multitask in a very dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint
Experience creating materials for executive-level management
Actively seeks diverse views and fosters an inclusive team environment
