Start in 2026 SpringCarpenter Co. is seeking a summer intern for their Research and Development team at the Reinhart Technical Center in Richmond, Virginia. The intern will conduct basic lab experiments under the supervision of a senior mentor and will be responsible for generating results for new products and documenting findings.

Generate QDa results for new products being produced in the Pilot Plant
Introduce varying levels of polymeric and non-polymeric impurities into polyols and determine the sensitivity for detection
Document findings in report format
Qualification
Required
Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent
Completion of 2 years of college or university in Chemistry with minimum 2.75 GPA
Completion of 2 semesters of college laboratory curriculum
Able to perform rudimentary chemical lab experiments under management and safety direction
Basic understanding and use of Microsoft Office suite
Good written and oral communication skills
