Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking candidates for a full-time, temporary faculty position in the media and communication department. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in public relations and multimedia storytelling while maintaining an active research agenda.

Master's degree in Media/CommunicationTeaching in multicultural environmentInterdisciplinary teaching/researchPhD in Media/CommunicationIndustry experience in public relationsResearch in electronic communication technologiesCommunity engagementUniversity serviceTeaching supervisionAdvising

Required

Master's degree in Media/Communication Studies or related fields
Experience in and a commitment to teaching in a multicultural environment with students from a variety of backgrounds and learning styles
Experience in interdisciplinary teaching and/or research collaborations
Experience with teaching, supervision, and advising

Preferred

PhD degree in Media/Communication Studies or related fields
Industry experience in public relations or similar fields
Record of research in one or more of the following areas: public relations, use and regulation of new electronic communication technologies, and interdisciplinary multimedia applications
Potential for excellence in community engagement and university service
