Electrical Engineer I/II
General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a highly motivated engineer to work hands-on solving deck plate issues impacting submarine fabrication, assembly, and testing. The role involves providing engineering support for VIRGINIA Class construction efforts and requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Provide first shift deckplate support for electrical construction testing
Interface daily with Operations and Ship's management
Solve deck plate issues that impact submarine fabrication, assembly, and test
Develop engineered solutions to ensure safe and efficient construction activities
Support submarine sea trials, major component evolutions, and construction milestones
Provide technical support for manufacturing and testing of submarine systems and components
Evaluate construction and design errors and prepare written engineering dispositions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
0-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience
Co-Op or internship experience with General Dynamics Electric Boat
Able to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
Experience in Robotics
The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills
The candidate must be well organized and possess a high attention to detail
The candidate must be able to perform independently, as well as interact with other groups and organizations in a team environment
The candidate may be expected to 'think on their feet' or provide sound technical judgement during a time-sensitive situation
