HR & Payroll Coordinator

Responsibilities
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and processing of weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll
Maintain and administer time & attendance and time off systems
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
Respond to employee payroll questions promptly and professionally
Responsible for quarter and year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 distribution and preparation for new year payroll processes
Review payroll data for accuracy, perform audits and make necessary adjustments
Administration of the company 401(k) plan
Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, records and HRIS data
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll and wage and hour laws
Recommend new approaches, policies, practices and procedures to effect continual improvements
Assist with day-to-day HR operations and initiatives
Provide guidance on basic HR policies, benefits and procedures; escalate complex issues as needed
Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes, including document and system updates
Support HR team in implementing policies, tracking compliance and updating the employee handbook
Conduct research, manage projects and create internal communications
Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, retention and compliance
Assist with planning company-sponsored employee events to enhance engagement and workplace culture
Assume additional responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
3+ years' experience in payroll administration
HR operations experience with onboarding/offboarding, compliance and employee support
Strong organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
