Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer for a remote long-term contract assignment with one of their premier Management Consulting services clients in New York, NY. The role requires candidates to have real production ownership experience and a strong background in infrastructure/IAC within a modern Cloud environment, primarily Azure.

Real production ownership experience

Strong background with infrastructure/IAC in a modern Cloud environment (Azure HIGHlY preferred)

Cloud: Azure (primary), plus AWS/GCP or a combination

Terraform (expert) and Docker (expert)

Kubernetes/AKS/EKS/GKE operations: provisioning, upgrades, autoscaling, networking, security

Observability & reliability: OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK/Splunk; incident response, SLO/SLI, RCA

Logging & monitoring, FinOps/cost optimization, and VPC/VNet networking (Private Link/Endpoints, Ingress, WAF)

CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket Pipelines (any combination); secrets management (Key Vault/SSM)

Concrete scale and impact (clusters/nodes/spend, MTTR/MTBF, latency or $ savings)

Specific tools/versions and the candidate's exact role (e.g., AKS 1.29 upgrade led, Terraform modules authored)

Helm and GitOps (Argo/Flux) are a plus
