DME Specialist

Venture Medical, LLC, a leading wound-care company, is seeking a full-time DME Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Durable Medical Equipment (DME), ensuring accurate documentation, order compliance, patient support, and timely fulfillment and billing of DME orders.

Responsibilities

Manage DME orders end-to-end, including intake, documentation, fulfillment, billing, and follow-up
Review and process DME Standard Written Orders (SWOs) to ensure compliance with wound conditions, product requirements, LCDs, CMS, and audit standards
Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation; stay current on DME regulations and process changes
Coordinate DME delivery, pickup, and patient training; provide clear support to patients and caregivers regarding product use and questions
Serve as a primary contact for routine patient, provider, distributor, and internal inquiries; troubleshoot issues and escalate as appropriate
Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, and internal teams to support active accounts, patient orders, and timely delivery
Support pricing communication, order status updates, and accounts receivable accuracy related to DME orders
Perform administrative tasks, participate in trainings and meetings, and identify opportunities to improve workflows, accuracy, and patient experience
Other duties as assigned
Participate in product launches, training initiatives, and sales meetings
Provide feedback from the field to leadership regarding product performance, customer needs, and competitive intelligence
Support onboarding of new accounts and transitions of existing accounts as needed
Collaborate with marketing and leadership on account-specific initiatives or pilots

Required

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in wound care, medical logistics, DME or related field
Knowledge of DME orders, documentation, SWOs, LCDs, and CMS compliance
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records
Clear communication skills with patients, providers, and internal teams
Excellent organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple priorities
Ability to troubleshoot routine issues and escalate as needed
Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and office software
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment and technology
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed

Preferred

Working knowledge of DME documentation, SWOs, LCDs, and CMS requirements strongly preferred
Associate's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred, or combination of related experience
