Societe Generale is a leading financial institution with a strong presence in energy project finance. They are seeking a V.I.E. EPG Analyst to support senior bankers in managing client relationships and executing project finance advisory across the energy sector, including renewables and oil & gas.

Responsibilities

Support senior bankers who manage client relationships, source, originate, develop, and often execute Project Finance Debt Advisory, Acquisition Finance, and Equity Private Placement Advisory across the entire Energy chain (renewables, new energy transition technologies, oil & gas (midstream and downstream), petrochemicals and power)

Assist in financial and cash flow modelling for financing and/or advisory mandates

Assist in the on-boarding of new clients and ongoing monitoring and management of the existing portfolio, including maintenance of internal credit ratings and LGD, Know Your Customer, etc

Review due diligence and financing documents and assist in the preparation of credit analysis and credit applications on financing transactions

Perform market research (industry, company, etc.)

Assist in developing and preparing marketing pitches

General support, as required, within Energy Project Finance, including contribution to effective teamwork within the global team and with other groups in the bank

Comply with all Internal Policies, including Code of Conduct, and risk and regulatory obligations, where relevant

Required

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Economics/ Accounting/Engineering

The candidate ideally will have previous experience in the Energy Sector / Natural Resources sector (especially Project/Structured Finance) and/or credit analysis and financial/cash flow modelling skills

Fluent in English

Excellent writing communication and presentation skills

Proficient/Good command of MS Office, especially Excel

Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure

Innovative, Self-starting, Resilient

Ability to work in a team structure

Ability to work in close co-operation with other business lines
