Adolescent and Family Addiction Psychologist

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full-time psychologist to provide clinical care to adolescents and families struggling with addiction-related concerns, as well as to participate in supervision, teaching, and research activities.

Responsibilities
Provision of patient care to adolescents and families
Supervision and teaching within the addiction psychiatry fellowship and psychology training programs
Participation in research or quality improvement
Engagement in team-based care
Clinical care will involve brief assessments and psychotherapy (individual, family, group) for minors with substance use disorders and other co-occurring mental health conditions and their families
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited graduate program
APA accredited internship
At least one-year supervised postdoctoral training
Licensed or license eligible in Georgia
Established areas of emphasis in treatment of substance use disorders in minors
Distinct areas of focus that would provide needed clinical services (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions)
Strong background in patient care, supervision and teaching, research or quality improvement, and team-based care
