The Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office is currently accepting resumes for an Assistant Solicitor General to work in the Jail Division. The role involves conducting criminal case analysis and managing various hearings, while ensuring proper documentation and organization of case files.

Responsibilities
Conducting criminal case analysis
Investigating and accusing or dismissing misdemeanor crimes and Title 40 traffic violations
Reviewing case files for transfer to the trial line and/or District Attorney’s Office
Conducting plea hearings, bond hearings, and probation revocation hearings
Properly documenting dispositions and investigative steps in casefiles, court calendars, and case management systems
Organizing files for efficient courtroom management
Negotiating with opposing counsel
Drafting court orders and special conditions of bond
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
Ability to multitask and work under occasionally stressful time constraints
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Detail-oriented
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to work independently
Demonstrate a strong sense of personal responsibility and leadership skills
Commitment to serving the community and working with the public
Completion and satisfactory results of a criminal background check
