Responsibilities

Responding to inquiries and contacting other departments or vendors to resolve a variety of problems
Posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems
Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Required

Must be currently pursuing a degree at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following programs: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related Technology field, at the time of application and throughout the program
Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Finance GPA & Cumulative GPA)
12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university prior to the start of the internship
If a transfer student must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Financial Markets: Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way
Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
