Responsibilities

Review construction plans for new neighborhoods, commercial developments, and major industrial projects that keep our city growing

Lead projects from start to finish. Manage complex water and sewer projects—from early design through final construction—while working closely with developers, engineers, and city teams

Interpret and implement design standards established by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to ensure top-quality infrastructure

Provide technical guidance and support to engineering technicians and other staff involved in water and wastewater engineering

Oversee meetings, plats, zoning cases, and site plans that shape Fort Worth’s landscape

Analyze development issues, recommend smart solutions, and see them through to success

Work hand-in-hand with Operations teams to address construction challenges and keep projects running smoothly

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field

Four (4) years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience as a registered professional engineer, including two (2) years performing project management that includes design and contract administration of water and wastewater projects

Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas

If licensed in another state, continued employment will be contingent upon obtaining registration as Professional Engineer within the State of Texas within six months of employment

Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Texas driver's license
