California Department of State Hospitals is seeking a Research Data Specialist III to provide expert guidance on specialized areas related to web-based power applications. The role involves application development, data automation, and serving as a senior data subject matter expert.

Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on specialized and complex areas related to the development of web-based power applications
Serves as the primary lead in application development and data automation for DSH’s population
Develop strategies for seamless data integration for application development efforts including the Electronic Health Record(EHR) System
Serve as both a senior DSH data subject matter expert in web-based power applications and workgroup facilitation

Required

12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in any combination of a data driven research-related field, such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a research-related field
At least one course in statistical methods
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree
Work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis by applicants who have the required units mentioned above
