Bi-weekly payroll processing: This includes calculating wages, processing deductions, and ensuring accurate payment
Leave request management: Handling sick leave, vacation time, and other types of leave
Direct deposit processing: Ensuring timely and accurate direct deposit of employee pay
Payroll report generation: Preparing and analyzing payroll reports for management
Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of employee payroll data, including pay, deductions, and benefits
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
Employee support: Handling inquiries from employees regarding their pay and payroll-related issues
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of payroll principles and procedures
Familiarity with payroll software and systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with union-related payroll processes may be required for certain positions
