They are seeking a Software Engineer to be the founding member of their Data Platform team, responsible for building data infrastructure and reporting systems that support business intelligence and compliance.

Responsibilities

Build and own the company’s data and reporting platform from the ground up
Design and implement data pipelines that transform operational data into analytics-ready datasets
Automate compliance reporting, regulatory filings, and customer notifications
Develop customer-facing reporting systems such as account statements and performance analytics
Build and maintain the data warehouse, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accessibility
Collaborate on architecture, planning, and code reviews across the engineering team

Required

Strong experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
Proficiency in SQL and analytical data modeling
Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and tools like dbt
Experience building dashboards and analytics using BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Hex, Metabase, etc.)
High attention to detail and a strong bias toward data correctness
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, Rust, TypeScript, etc.)
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Preferred

Fintech or early-stage startup experience
Familiarity with financial data, ledgers, or accounting concepts
Experience with Kotlin backends or workflow orchestration tools
