Process Control Engineer - Co-op

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking an Engineering student for a co-op position to work with a talented team on diverse engineering tasks. The role involves hands-on experience in both field and office environments, assisting in construction job progress meetings, conducting design calculations, and managing maintenance work orders.

Responsibilities

Assisting Manager of Mechanical/Electrical/Construction in conducting construction job progress meetings and inspections
Resolving construction, operating, & maintenance issues at various facilities
Performing design calculations
Conducting engineering consultant request for proposal process and construction contractor bid process
Assisting the Superintendent of Mechanical & Electrical in managing corrective & preventative maintenance work orders on the Company’s Maintenance Connection (MC) program
Performing data entry into the company’s MC program
Traveling to various production facilities to obtain specifications for equipment
Company vehicle will be provided for work purposes only
General administrative duties and record keeping

Qualification

Electrical engineeringMechanical engineeringAutoCADDesign calculationsCommunication skills

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older
Possess valid driver's license
Ability to work independently to complete assignments
Ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing
Knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering and calculations
Willingness to occasionally work in a drinking water plant and construction environment

Preferred

Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
