Responsibilities

Act as the primary coordinator for liaising with the International and Events teams and other Chamber divisions and departments regarding OCONUS travel and events
Attend and/or ensure Security team attendance at meetings with the International team, the Events team, and the Executive Office regarding international travel and events
Communicate with the International and Events teams to assess and coordinate appropriate security for international travel and events
Plan, evaluate security needs, coordinate, and provide security for the International team, the Chamber delegation, and Chamber travel and events
Help the director of Facilities & Personnel Safety & Security (DFPSS) coordinate and supervise the day-to-day physical security at the Chamber when not traveling to support international travel security needs
Collaborate with the director of EP Security to gauge the security needs of events with CEO/CPO attendance when they travel internationally and support both as directed by the VP, HOS and/or senior director of Executive Security when not traveling internationally
Help the director of Intel and Threat Assessment analyze incoming threat and protest intelligence related to international travel and event security
Coordinate proactive intel scraping surrounding Chamber international travel and events with the director of Intel and Threat Assessment
Assess employee, delegation, and Executive Office travel to determine if security enhancement is needed
Coordinate, plan, and provide employee guidance on travel safety
Coordinate with the travel security vendor to ensure that emergency planning and response is in place for employee travel
Act as the primary Chamber security representative to the U.S. government and Private Sector Protective Security Details to establish advance security procedures for VIP visits to Chamber international meetings and events
Coordinate with external venue security teams to ensure that appropriate security is in place for events at international venues
Provide enhanced security at all events based on threat assessment
Coordinate all medical support capabilities and emergency action plans at international Chamber travel and hosted events
Meet with and brief the vice president of Security regularly to cover all aspects of responsibilities and any issues that arise
Assist the EP team with CEO security as the mission requires
Supporting the EP team, establish primary and alternate routes for EP transportation, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient transportation, know the location and contact information for police and medical locations closest to sites visited by the CEO
Establish that the EP team knows primary and alternate arrival and departure points at sites visited by CEO
Collaborating the EP team, ensure that contingency and emergency plans are in place and briefed
Understand and use as appropriate the Chamber security comms app Tango Tango to effectively communicate during security events
Understand and use as appropriate the Chamber-wide Mass communication tool AlertMedia to support Chamber events
Conduct and/or ensure that site advances of external Chamber events are completed to guarantee familiarity with ingress/egress and hard rooms at any Chamber event site
Review and watch CCTV camera footage at Chamber HQ operations and events
Understand all emergency and contingency incident plans inside the Chamber
Support the needs of the Chamber’s Building and EP Security teams when not supporting Chamber events as directed by the VP, HOS
With the approval of the VP, HOS contract with security vendors as needed to provide duty of care coverage at Chamber events
Ensure that the information regarding expenses is entered into the contract and expense system for approval per Chamber policy
Enter timesheet and expenses in a timely manner
Establish and update event and travel security policies and procedures
Complete incident reports in a timely manner
Execute other duties as assigned by the vice president of Security

Required

Maintain CPR/AED & EMR certification
Extensive experience in international security, risk management, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex security operations
Strong understanding of global security trends, geopolitical dynamics, and cultural sensitivities
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders in an international context
Familiarity with security technologies, tools, and best practices for travel and event security
Able to travel internationally
Individual annual LEOSA qualification
