Responsibilities
Be an integral part of the month-end close process including owning journal entries for multiple business areas, performing variance analysis, and preparing and maintaining account reconciliations
Partner with FP&A and other colleagues to understand the business and ensure our accurate financial reporting
Identify opportunities to improve or eliminate manual processes and mitigate risk through automation and emerging technologies, including AI
Generate and maintain monthly analytical files tracking changes in various Income Statement accounts and collaborate with FP&A to ensure consistency and accuracy
Assist with SOX compliance documentation and support adherence to accounting policies and internal controls
Coordinate with external auditors by fulfilling audit requests and responding to inquiries
Document, maintain, and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures
Support vendor setup and maintenance activities to ensure accurate accounting and proper controls
Oversee outsourced transaction and property tax activities, including sales and use tax compliance, filings, and audits
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to review tax accruals, address tax questions, and ensure timely, accurate compliance
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience, required
Three or more years of work experience in an accounting role
Preferred
SaaS software industry experience preferred
NetSuite experience preferred but not required
